Roads within 2 km of the centre

Getting ready for a test at Edinburgh (Currie)
There are 2 sets of traffic lights within 2 km, fewer than at 8 in 10 test centres, and 7 roundabouts, fewer than at 7 in 10 test centres. You judge most gaps yourself. Expect more give way lines. Some roads nearby have limits of 60 mph or more, so match the traffic when you join. 41.6% passed here in 2025-26, 8.4 points below the GB average, the 21st lowest of 316 centres.
A car test lasts around 35 minutes, with a show me and a tell me question and a pull up on the left. The examiner picks the roads on the day, so practise the junctions, not one route.
