See every fault, right where you made it.

A mock driving test on the real roads around your test centre.

No sign-up and no card.

The game in a browser: a learner car from behind on a street of red-brick houses at sunset, with the interior and door mirrors, a map, and the speed, 23 mph in a 30 limit
The game on a phone held sideways, with a steering wheel on the left and Brake and Go pedals on the right

Marked the way your examiner marks you.

Against the DVSA driving competencies. A serious or dangerous fault, or more than 15 driving faults, is a fail.

  1. Pick where to start. Your test centre, a town or a postcode.
  2. Follow the examiner's directions. Show me, tell me, a pull up on the left and sometimes a controlled stop.
  3. See your result. Every fault, pinned to the road.

How the marking works

The game's result screen after a drive in Borehamwood: on course to pass, with 3 driving faults listed under their competencies and numbered on a map of the route through a roundabout

Your examiner, in the passenger seat.

In the game, the learner car queues for a roundabout on a street of brick houses at sunset, signalling left, while the examiner's card says: Roundabout, 1st exit, towards Kenilworth Drive. Take the first exit, please.

Questions.

Is this the real DVSA test?

No. It's an independent practice tool and isn't connected to the DVSA. It marks faults against the DVSA's driving competencies and uses the same pass rule as the examiner's app.

Are these the actual test routes?

No. The DVSA doesn't publish test routes. You drive the real roads around your centre, with the same kinds of junctions, roundabouts and crossings your examiner can choose from.

What do I need to play?

A laptop or desktop browser with a keyboard works best. Tablets and phones get on-screen controls.

Is my drive saved?

No. The replay map appears when you finish a drive. We don't store your drives, so it's gone when you leave the page.

Does it cover Northern Ireland?

Not yet. Northern Ireland tests are run by the DVA.
