Getting ready for a test at Birmingham (Cocks Moors)
Within 2 km there are 24 roundabouts and 6 sets of traffic lights, close to the middle for test centres in Great Britain. Some roads nearby have limits of 60 mph or more, so match the traffic when you join. 53.5% passed here in 2025-26, 3.5 points above the GB average.
A car test lasts around 35 minutes, with a show me and a tell me question and a pull up on the left. The examiner picks the roads on the day, so practise the junctions, not one route.

How many driving faults fail you?
The pass mark explained: up to 15 driving faults and no serious or dangerous faults, and why 15 is a limit, not a target.
