Getting ready for a test at Louth
There are 2 sets of traffic lights within 2 km, fewer than at 8 in 10 test centres, and 7 roundabouts, fewer than at 7 in 10 test centres. You judge most gaps yourself. Expect more give way lines. Limits go up to 60 mph, and driving too slowly is marked too. 53.9% passed here in 2025-26, 3.9 points above the GB average.
A car test lasts around 35 minutes, with a show me and a tell me question and a pull up on the left. The examiner picks the roads on the day, so practise the junctions, not one route.
