Getting ready for a test at Gillingham
There are 33 roundabouts within 2 km, more than at 9 in 10 test centres. Pick your lane early. Limits go up to 60 mph, and driving too slowly is marked too. 56.4% passed here in 2025-26, 6.4 points above the GB average.
A car test lasts around 35 minutes, with a show me and a tell me question and a pull up on the left. The examiner picks the roads on the day, so practise the junctions, not one route.
